3 count SQUEEZE

Have you ever said or thought:

"I like breaststroke because it's easy."
"Breaststroke is my favorite because it is relaxing."

Try the drill in the video above.
  • Push off and squeeze your body into a perfect line.  (ankles, calves, thighs, bottom, abs, shoulders, triceps, tips of fingers)
  • Hold the squeeze for 3 seconds (one 1000, two 1000, three 1000)
  • After the pull/kick phase, go back to the squeeze
If swum correctly, breaststroke should not be easy or relaxing. 

Try to take "glide" out of your thinking.  Gliding makes it seem like you are resting.  If you are squeezing the glide position, it will be more difficult, in a challenging and good way.  (Not relaxing!)

Squeeze in some practice on this ASAP!
